The goal of psychotherapy is to help you heal emotional pain, transcend beyond your reason for entering into therapy, and move forward towards where you want to be in your life in the present for the sake of your future.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common reasons for entering into psychotherapy which often coincide with uncomfortable feelings and resultant life obstacles. Through psychotherapy, we are able to help you begin to tolerate uncomfortable emotions as part of a full range of feelings, recover motivation, increase perspective, and restore joy in your work, love, and play.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger as a result of traumatic events. As a Diplomat with the Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, Dr. DeLeo strives to help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Furthermore, Dr. DeLeo has years of experience of treating a full spectrum of eating disorders at various levels of care from residential to outpatient. She welcomes the opportunity to assist you in adjusting your thoughts and behaviors while developing a new relationship with food and your body.
